Almost

The other day I almost got discouraged. I did it to myself though. I weighed myself and I was up 2 pounds. Grrr. I was really mad when I saw that becuase I have been working my butt off, running, lifting weights, and walking. I also haven't been sitting on the couch. I have been gardening, cleaning, and trying to keep myself busy so I don't get bored and eat. I am also trying to not be such a lazy person. I have also been doing really good on WW.

I was so mad. My husband calmed me down and told me it could be water or it could be a few other things and to not let it faze me. He told me he can already see a small difference in my face and that I need to keep going because if I don't I will be disappointed in the long run. I know I will to.
I shouldn't of even got on the scale it wasn't my day to check. I was supposed to check yesterday but I always forget over the weekend so I am going to start checking on Tuesdays like I did last week.

I have been kicking butt with my water intake!

I am almost done with my little flower garden and I'll post pictures of it tomorrow if I get a chance. I just have to add a few more flowers and rocks for it to be complete.
Yesterday when my husband took our daughter to the movies I worked a full 2 hours (nonstop) in my garden digging holes, planting plants, and moving rocks around for the border. I checked the WW activity points thing. It said on light activity (I picked light even though I was sweating my butt off) I would earn 6 points. WOW. I didn't eat one of them though. Yay me!

Hi Nykky.
It sounds as though you have a good routine and WW works for you. To go to the gym with your father is something special.

Keep it up and watch those numbers go down next week. One day at a time is all we have to do this.

Have a good day and then start all over tomorrow. Blessings.

When you're exercising more, you will plateau and even gain a little weight. You need large glycogen stores and glycogen is mostly water. You can gain an invisible 2 pounds that way. It's a good 2 pounds. It means that you can exercise longer without exhausting. Those two pounds will make it easier to lose more weight later on. Besides, who doesn't want energy to do all those fun summer activities.

I blogged about it on my site. Coach Dean on Sparks explained the reason for my plateau and it's likely to be the reason for yours.

I can now bike ride for as long as two hours and I can run 4 miles at an eight minute a mile pace. I'm using that glycogen.

If you are On Plan and exercising, just keep it up and the silly scale will work itself out.

Maybe take some measurements and use that to help judge your progress.

I agree with lillian. Research does show that women especially can plateau or even gain when they start exercising. It's supposed to right itself within 3 to 4 weeks. I've stayed at the same weight for a few weeks now and I think it's due in part to my new high level of exercise. Even though I haven't lost any pounds, I can see that my body is becoming leaner and stronger and my ole gut is getting smaller.

Have faith in yourself and the system. Don't get discouraged. Read the blogs of some of the other girls, you'll see it will pass if you hang in there.

So nice to meet you by the way.

Girl! That is my worst weakness. Stepping on the scale every day or so. It derails me every time because it is never what I expect it to be.

I can't wait to see the garden pictures, I've been bit by that bug too this spring. It's addictive!
